My Favorite Tuesday

I feel like My Favorite Tuesday is turning into "My New Stuff Tuesday." I do apologize for that. It has been so long since I put anything truly new up, that when I do, it becomes my instant favorite. Just because it is different.

Blog I Like Friday

i LOVE THE fRIDAY fILL-iNS bLOG. i LOVE TO SEE HOW PEOPLE INTERPRET THE DIFFERENT STATEMENTS. sOME ARE FUNNY. sOME ARE VERY SERIOUS. IT's LIKE MAD-LIBS, LITE.

hERE IS MINE FROM YESTERDAY. 

1. Apples are to oranges as __LEMONS ARE TO LIMES___.

(I wasn't really sure how to answer that. Nothing would come to mind!)

2. _BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH...____ and that's all I have to say about that.

(Sometimes this is what I hear when people say "Oh, one more thing.")

3. I think I hear _MY PHONE RINGING____.

(I stay on the phone a lot. So much so that when I am not on the phone, almost any sound makes me reach for it, in case it is my ringer! Sad, I know.)

4. _AMERICAN____ flag.

(I am a US Air Force Wife. Enough said.)

5. Do what you want to do, but _ACCEPT YOUR CONSEQUENCES____.

(I am a firm believer in this statement. I wish more people believed in the second part!)

6. _HE WAS RUNNING DOWN THE SIDEWALK____ and behind him was a Radio Flyer wagon; in the wagon was a bucket filled with _WORMS____. (No idea what possessed this one. It just seemed like a silly answer!)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _SEEING MY MOM AND SISTERS AT FAMILY GIRLS WEEKEND____, tomorrow my plans include _SITTING ON THE BEACH AND DRINKING MARGARITAS AND PINA COLADAS____ and Sunday, I want to _MAKE VACATION LAST ONE MORE DAY____! (A weekend at the beach with my mom and sisters. No husbands, no children, no dogs. What ever will we do with our time? Oh yeah, sit on the beach and drink margaritas and pina coladas!)

Etsy Findings Wednesday

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the day I married my husband, but it is also the day I married into the U.S. Air Force. In honor of our anniversary, I decided to pick something military related as my found item of the day.

Blog I Like Friday

I know. I know. I am not yet a parent. So, this choice as a blog might seem strange. On another note, I chose this particular blog for two reasons. Even though I am not a parent, I am a former pre-school teacher and an aunt to an awesome teenager and a kindergartner and a preschooler. I am always on the hunt for cool things for my nieces and nephew, and this blog helps. And as a new added bonus, they have featured one of my very best childhood friends and are hosting a giveaway of one of her products! I know... the giveaway should be on Monday... but I so wanted to share this!

Structure

Okay. I have decided that it is time for my blog to have a little more structure.  So, Starting tomorrow, I am going to follow a set up. I may add in other little things from time to time, but these will be pretty set.

This may come from me or it could be something going on by someone else. I will           provide a link if it is someone else's give away or freebie.

TUESDAY- MY OWN FAVORITE

Each Tuesday I will show off one of my own items. It could be jewelry, or it could be something else that I do. 

WEDNESDAY- ETSY FIND OF THE DAY

On Wednesdays, I will present you with an item on Etsy that I like from another seller. These could be anything at all, so be sure to look out for great items!

THURSDAY-FREE SHIPPING THURSDAY

I will either offer free shipping across the board on Thursdays, by providing a code for you to enter, or I will offer free shipping on a specific item. These codes will be good for until midnight on Thursdays. As long as the item is purchased and paid for before midnight, the shipping costs will be refunded within 24 hours, usually within an hour.

Recall Morning- and How I Overcame It

There was a time in my life when I was one of those super perky morning people. The older I get, the later my mornings start, and the less perky they are! So, being woken up at 5:00 in the morning  by a Lieutenant initiating a recall did not make me happy. A call a few minutes later while my husband was in the shower, pretty much locked in the fact that I was up for the day. When I was coming out of the bathroom, the phone rang for the third time. All of these calls came before 5:30! My husband's alarm actually goes off at 5:30, but for someone who usually sleeps until 7:30 or 8, this is just torture. 

Instead of letting it get me angry like it has in the  past, I realized that this is an area in my life that I need to improve. Perhaps being so tired, I was not awake enough for the adrenaline to run through yet. I don't know. This morning I had to remind myself all 3 times that the purpose of the recall is to make sure that in case of an emergency, everyone in my husband's Squadron, or the entire base, if need be, can be contacted and can quickly return to base. It is a practice. Like all the years of sports that I played. Or practicing for a swim meet, or a horse show. 

I decided this morning to make a military support pendant to help remind me of why my husband  is in the military, and why these early morning calls should make me proud to be his wife, rather than angry at the early rising. 

It turned out a bit bigger than I intended, because of my lack of small yellow beads. I am going to change that though... yellow is now on my shopping list.  It is actually almost 5 inches tall... perhaps something better hung in a window that on my neck? 

I will not be posting it on Jubillie unless someone just sees it here and wants it. This was really more an exercise for me.     

Last Day- and Some Good News

It is supposed to be the last day for the giveaway below. I am going to extend it until this Friday- April 3rd.  I have been ill, and have not spent much time advertising it. 

Now for the fun stuff- I am going to be a jewelry vendor at a pageant at the end of April. I am super nervous about it, but really excited. I am trying to make at least 5 new pieces of jewelry a day to build up my inventory for it. With any luck, I will sell it all! :) I got very intimidated by the thought at first... I didn't feel like I had enough glitzy glammy stuff for pageantry... then I was reminded that pageant participants are not in full formal wear every day. I felt like such an idiot! :) Now, however, I am excited and working on my display system, and looking forward to the big day!

Back on Track

While yesterday was a little better, today, I feel more like ME. I have to take my beagle to the vet today. His poor little feet were so neglected by his previous owner, that he has chronic problems. 

Yesterday I knocked out 18 new pieces of jewelry. More than half of the new pieces were earrings. They are usually pretty easy, and quick... big bang for less effort. My inventory needs to be built up, so that is a good starting point!

Off to the vet!
